Booking Conditions
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before you book, as these form the basis of your contract with us, our obligations and your commitments are detailed below. Should you have any questions regarding these terms and conditions then please do not hesitate to ask. Your contract is with GB Golf ( DMC ) Ltd company number SC746146 T/A GB Golf Trip, registered under the laws of Scotland. The company act as agent for all suppliers. IAGTO Members number 5648.
1. BOOKING AND CONFIRMATION
A contract between you and GB Golf Trip will be made once we have received your deposit, or full payment if your booking is within 4 weeks of departure and you have received a written confirmation invoice. Your confirmation invoice details all the elements of your booking. It is your responsibility to check this carefully as any changes subsequently made to your booking will be treated as an amendment or cancellation and maybe subject to a charge. If you make any special requests, and we do not confirm whether these can be met prior to booking, such requests will not be guaranteed.
2. BALANCE PAYMENT.
The balance of the cost of your holiday must be paid at least four weeks prior to the arrival date or as detailed on the quotation provided prior to booking.
3. PRICE GUARANTEE.
The price of your holiday elements booked with us will not be subject to any surcharges after our confirmation invoice has been issued.
4. ALTERATIONS BY YOU.
If you wish to make any changes to your golf trip after it has been confirmed this must be communicated to us as soon as possible and in writing. Charges for changes or cancellations are calculated from the date we receive your request or notification. We will try to assist wherever possible but cannot guarantee that any such changes can be made.
5 ALTERATIONS BY US.
Should we make an alteration to arrangements we will notify you as soon as possible. If this is a major change, for example change of date or destination you may elect to have a refund of all monies paid. If the change is minor for example change of tee time or order of play, no refund or compensation will be permissible or payable nor is a refund due in the case force majeure.
The meaning of 'force majeure' includes, but is not limited to, war, threat of war, riot or civil disturbance, industrial dispute or threatened industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire or flood, terrorist activity or threatened terrorist activity, closure of ports and airports and car hire depots, unforeseen local building works or road works, actions of national or local governments or any similar circumstances beyond our control.
6. CANCELLATION BY YOU.
You, or any member of your party, may cancel your holiday at any time providing that the cancellation is made by the same person who made the booking and is communicated to us in writing. As this incurs costs, we will always retain your deposit and in addition will apply cancellation charges as shown below:
More than 28 days / or balance due date – loss of deposit
Between 28 – 15 days 75%
Less than 14 days 100%
7. CANCELLATION BY US.
We reserve the right in any circumstances to cancel your holiday. However, in no case will we cancel your holiday less than 4 weeks before the departure date except for reasons of force majeure or failure on your part to pay the final balance.
8. INSURANCE.
You must have adequate insurance cover before you travel. It is your responsibility to ensure any policy meets your needs, including the cost of cancellation by you and assistance overseas if you suffer accident or illness
9 PASSPORTS, VISAS AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS.
EU citizens and US citizens currently require a valid full passport or a national identity card for EU citizens to enter the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland. Visas are not presently required for travel to the UK or Ireland. If you do not have valid documents, you will not be able to travel. It is prudent to check however the following official website: https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa to ensure requirements have not changed.
10. ENGLISH LAW AND JURISDICTION.
The contract between us and any matters arising from it will be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and are subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
11. COMPLAINTS.
In the unlikely event that you do encounter a problem you must immediately notify our local representative or our office to try to resolve this problem at the time.
12. GENERAL.
Bookings are made subject to the terms and conditions of suppliers for who GB Golf Trip act as agents.
