Our services
Each of our arrangements are tailored to your groups specific requirements and can include any or all of the elements from the following:
Accommodation
We have inspected many hundreds of accommodation options for you across Scotland and Ireland. We are very choosy about what we offer, and each property has been personally inspected to ensure that you will get a warm welcome, enjoy a comfortable stay and receive value for money. We offer accommodation to suit all budgets.
You can link from our suggested packages to see a selection of the accommodation we have selected which can be slotted into the various packages.
To guide you on prices we indicate € for simple clean budget accommodation €€ for more comfortable mid-priced accommodation, €€€ for superior properties with facilities to match and finally €€€€ for high end/deluxe accommodation (mostly 5 star and some 4-star superior).
Tee time reservations
Vitally important to your trip is our tee time reservation service. We will work with you to maximise your enjoyment and arrange tee times to fit with your itinerary and length of stay. Some flexibility is required, as private clubs often have members only competitions or restricted access for visitors during certain times and on certain days. Certain well-known clubs are also oversubscribed with a fraction of the slots available for the number of requests they have from visitors. This is especially true in the summer months.
Transport
For complete independence we offer rental cars from all major airports and rail stations at our destinations. Select from both automatic or manual and from minis to minibuses for up to 9 persons.
If the thought of driving on the left-hand side of the road or in a foreign country does not appeal, then our Mercedes Vito Tourer Pro with professional driver option may be a better choice. For larger groups we also have executive style buses designed for golfers to suit 8, 16 and larger groups.
Caddies and Forecaddies
Caddies and Forecaddies can greatly enhance your enjoyment when playing a course, particularly if it is you are unfamiliar with the course. Caddies, as well as carrying your clubs, will advise you on club selection and lines of play, obstacles and distances while the Forecaddies duties’ do not include carrying clubs or offering advice, they will walk ahead of your match and keep an eye open for any wayward shots, keep track of balls get you playing.
Tuition and improver break
We frequently arrange for PGA Pros to travel with their group to enjoy one of our trips. Typically, they will be groups of 8 and during their stay they will have regular tuition hosted by the Pro and a selection of games across a variety of courses. Accommodation providers will frequently offer free accommodation on a shared basis for the pro and many courses will provide courtesy of the course to the PGA pro. (this courtesy often excludes many of the premium courses). In all cases a current PGA card must be produced on the day of play.
Equipment Hire
Many golfers prefer to travel with their own clubs but for shorter trips or where a limited amount of golf is planned you may wish to take advantage of our Club Hire service. We will drop off your reserved clubs at your arrival point and collect them on your departure. The equipment is “Taylor Made” (various models) and prices start at 50€ for 4 days hire.
Away from the fairways
On days or half days away from the links or fairways we can arrange distillery visits and tastings, excursions to castles and gardens or a city visit with a local guide.
Dining and Drinking
One of the great pleasures of golf travel is discovering the local colour and culture in the pubs, tea rooms and restaurants where you are staying. A pint of Guinness in Temple Bar, Dublin or a wee dram of single malt whisky at The Jigger Inn, St Andrews will soon have you forgetting that missed birdie putt or wayward drive. We can help you with unbiased advice and dinner reservations before and throughout your stay.
Cruise excursions
Scotland is recognised throughout the world as the Home of Golf , where the game started more than 400 years ago along the links of Fife and Lothian.
