Furthermore, you can find out about planning a golf trip to the home of golf, St Andrews, Scotland or to Ireland, host of the (British) Open in 2025 at Royal Portrush on Ireland’s spectacular Antrim Coast.

GB Golf a Scottish based travel organiser will be attending the show on stand 511 where you can discuss with experts or where, when and what you should be planning for your “bucket list” golf trip across the Pond.

Scotland is acknowledged as the birthplace of golf and is truly a dream destination for golf enthusiasts with more links courses than anywhere in the world. The history of the game dates back to the 15th century, with the Old Course at St Andrews considered the sport's spiritual home. Playing in Scotland allows you to experience authentic links golf shaped by natural landscapes, coastal winds, and undulating fairways.

Top courses include St Andrews Links (there are 7 courses in the town alone) , Royal Dornoch, Carnoustie, and Troon, all offering challenging layouts steeped in tradition. Each course provides breathtaking views, from rugged coastlines to serene dunes, and an opportunity to walk in the footsteps of legends.

The best time to play is from April to October, when the weather is more temperate and daylight is extended, allowing golf from 7 am to 10:30 pm in daylight. Scotland’s golf culture extends beyond the courses, offering charming clubhouses and local pubs to enhance your experience.

Golf in Ireland offers a mix of world-class links courses and stunning landscapes, both in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. With over 400 courses, the island is a haven for enthusiasts. Iconic venues include Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland, host of 2025 (British) Open Championship, and the Republic’s Lahinch and Ballybunion, known for their rugged beauty and challenging layouts. Off the course, enjoy Ireland’s rich culture, hospitality, and vibrant pubs are there to welcome, feed and water you after a great day on the links.
