Aberdour Hotel and Stable Rooms €€
Located in the centre of the historic village of Aberdour, on the north shore of the Firth of Forth, this family run hotel was originally a 17th century coaching inn. While Aberdour is a peaceful and picturesque coastal village the location of the hotel offers easy access to the capital city (30 minutes by car or train), and the M90 motorway links Edinburgh to the scenic Scottish Highlands. St Andrews, The Home of Golf is under an hour.
All bedrooms have ensuite facilities and most have WiFi access. There are superior rooms in the former stable block which also has wheelchair access for the disabled.

This is a delightful family run hotel in the pretty village of Aberdour across the Forth Bridge from Edinburgh just 30 minutes away by car. The Aberdour course is a real hidden gem as is its sister course Burntisland. All rooms are en suite, and the hotel has a friendly bar and historic restaurant with adjacent beer garden. Great value is guaranteed.
Pinewood Country House €€
This is an elegant period house located near St Michaels and a 10-minute drive from the centre of St Andrews in North Fife. There are 6 spacious en-suite bedrooms, a guests sitting room, breakfast room and use of a small kitchen area. Equally convenient if you plan to play golf around Carnoustie with a 10-minute drive across the Tay Bridge to Dundee. Lots of parking and good local pub within a 5-minute walk for dinner and pint of ale.
Balcomie Links Hotel €€€
This recently renovated 3 star hotel in the village of Crail , 20 minutes outside of St Andrews has quickly become a firm favourite for keen golfers. All rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished with new bathrooms and comfortable bedding and towels . The hotel restaurant serves tasty local dishes nightly and breakfast will set you up for the day. The historic Crail Golfing Society courses are just 1 mile away and both links are a delight to play. After golf enjoy a refreshment in the hotel’s bar dedicated to Open Championships with an impressive collection of 18 hole original flags signed by the Champion Golfer of the Year. Nearby pubs and restaurants include the quaint little Golf Inn, much loved by locals and visitors alike.
Drumoig Golf Hotel €
The hotel is located on The Drumoig Championship Course, just 15 minutes’ drive from St Andrews and close to the courses in North Fife and Carnoustie Country. The property is a simple, clean hotel made up of the main building overlooking the course with reception area, bar and restaurant and 5 main rooms, plus a further 6 independent buildings each with 4 en suite rooms. A fully equipped driving range is to be found 500 yards from the hotel
The rooms are simple but adequate and offer excellent value for money for the budget conscious traveller.
