Rose Hotel, (Tralee) €€€€

Tralee is a little more reserved than its more vivacious neighbour Killarney and the Rose hotel upholds this with an elegant traditional unhurried atmosphere. This is a 3-bedroom spacious Scandinavian style barn conversion to rent that can sleep up to 9 guests. It is very much aimed at golfers with a practice bunker in the garden! Just a 10 minutes’ drive to the centre of Killarney, it offers a great value for money option. Bedroom 1 is a twin room with 2 beds, bedroom 2 is a triple with three single beds, bedroom 4 on the upper floor, is a large family style room with 1 double and 2 single beds. There are 2 stylish shower rooms with WC and a large open plan kitchen, sitting room and diner on the ground floor plus a laundry room. The genial host lives nearby but you will be left alone unless he is needed. A cooked breakfast can be arranged each morning if required, when pre-booked.
